Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.
Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.
At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to area administrators.
Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.
"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in providing protection systems and applying restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.
He said that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.
Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.
A series of attacks struck power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.
Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.
Area administrators said the urban area experienced heavy assaults overnight. A seven-year-old child died and several individuals were injured.
The attacks succeed evenings of air raids in the area, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.
All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.
Authorities told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.
Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were bracing for further attacks.
